Mrs. Duke’s class always wants to have a party, so 7th Grade History class celebrated the end of the Roman unit by having a “Roman banquet”.
Students came dressed in togas of many colors and ate food that was common in the ancient Roman times. Some food items were appetizer soup – lentil, grapes, meat slices, cheese, rolls and sweet cakes for desert. Students were served by “slaves”: Mrs. Marston, Mr. Qishta and Mrs. Cortez.
Entertainment included the performance of the tragedy of Julius Caesar. Actors where chosen from the seventh grade class. Special appearances of the emperors Nero, Caligula and Tiberius explaining their view on life. Special vocal performance by Lena Curti and Chelsea Nuss. Thank You girls!
