Ping-Pong. It’s On!

Posted on June 1st, 2011

Mrs. Nelson and Liyan “Lo” Lu get ready to Bring It On!

Thank you to the family of Liyan “Lo” Lu for donating the money to buy 3 new, championship quality ping-pong tables. The family’s generous donation made the purchase possible. Along with the 3 tables we were able to get 12 paddles and 3 dozen balls. We are excited to put the tables to use and believe that many of the students at WCHS will enjoy them for years to come. This gift is a blessing and an answer to prayer as the international department has asked God to provide ping pong tables for nearly 4 years. God is faithful! In the summer, students attending summer school classes will get the chance to try them out. When school starts in September, we will hold tournaments. Start practicing, there will be great prizes for the winners!

Christian Professionals’ Fellowship – you are invited!

Posted on May 2nd, 2011

As iron sharpens iron so does a friend sharpen his friend’s character”
—Proverbs 27:17

The Bible Department at Western Christian Schools aims to be a resource to the local professional community by being the catalyst for such fellowship. To that aim, WCS has established the Christian Professionals’ Fellowship (CPF) as a place of gathering for like-spirited professionals to share practical and relevant biblical application of God’s vision for the business world.

This invitation is open to all Christian professionals. Please feel free to invite others who would like to enjoy a morning of worship and fellowship. We look forward to seeing you there.

Our first meeting will be Friday May 20th from 7:00-7:45am. Click here for complete details.

Photo Gallery: Choir Tour 2011

Posted on April 20th, 2011

Members of our choir traveled to San Francisco to participate in the Heritage Festival. Westerns choir earned a Silver, 2nd place, while Hilltop earned a Gold, 1st place. After the festival they led the Palm Sunday service at a small church in Crow’s Landing, CA. It was a quick trip but they still had fun for time at Pier 39 and Great America theme park.
