Dear Students, Parents, Faculty and Staff,

Western Christian has prayerfully pursued a permanent site for its High School to call home for over 30 years.  In our quest to find a location that would allow us to fulfill our mission, we have researched many potential sites.  Throughout our strategic planning we have pursued a site that could foster an exceptional academic, spiritual and extra curricular environment that we are committed to provide to our Pre School through High School students.

Football/Soccer Field Update

Check out our latest development photos

The new entrance gate was put up and the asphalt was laid last week.  It was also aerated and filled in.  Yesterday the sprinkler heads were replaced for ones more compatible with safety.  Today they field was hydro seeded and in two weeks the field goals come in.  Now we just wait, water, and watch the seed grow.  It is fun to watch our field transform into something that we can call our own and be proud of.  The football staff has been hard at work with drastic upgrades in the locker room as well.  We are now hard at work raising funds to make our home safe and aesthetically pleasing.  If you get a chance, come by and take a look.  If you feel compelled and need a tax write off drop off a check while you are at it.  We still have the following needs:

Modular Classrooms Arrive at Claremont Campus!

Another phase of the interim classroom project begins.
Friday, July 25, 2008 was our first shipment of modulars to be delivered at our Claremont Campus.  More units will be delivered throughout the week of July 28, culminating into our EIGHT beautiful NEW classrooms.

The modulars are 960 s.f. and are extremely spacious.  They look wonderful!  The units will be in place shortly and then prepared for occupancy.  It’s all coming together nicely, and it is exciting!

Ground Broken for On Campus Football/Soccer Field

Covina, CA   On Thursday June 26, 2008 renovations began on the east field in an effort to install an on campus football/soccer field. For three years the school has been talking to the Charter Oak School District about removing the Oak tree that sits on an inconveniently placed hill in the middle of the field. The football staff, Athletic Department, along with Greg Saugstad (Head of Facilities) found a way around the tree.

Growth and Development at WCS

God continues to bless us with many great things!  We have a lot of exciting projects taking place at the Claremont campus that further improve and enhance our facility and future growth.

June 5, 2008, was the official “Ground Breaking” day for the interim class housing for the Jr. High Program.  We are adding:

• New K-8 Classrooms
• New 6-8 Science Lab
• New K-8 Library /Media Center
• New K-8 Music
