Middle School Fall Sports Report

Volleyball, cross country, and football have wrapped up their seasons, and basketball season is just around the corner. I am so proud of the effort and dedication our athletes displayed this season!

Blue volleyball went to the semi-finals, losing to Christbridge in a hotly contested match. Gold football took third place in league, and was the “team to beat” at the end of the season. Gold volleyball was second place in league despite critical injuries. Our Blue Football team took third place in league, and was very competitive throughout the season. The hardest working bunch of all, our cross country runners, did very well in league, week in and week out.

SPORTSMANSHIP awards! Gold football, Blue volleyball, and Gold volleyball won the league sportsmanship award! It is such a privilege to be associated with such a fine group of athletes, coaches, and parents. Thank YOU teachers for your support. The kids eyes just light up when they see you on the sideline, or in the stands watching them play. I also thank you for your patience in helping them with makeup work.

WCHS Cheer Tryout Clinics

• There will be a mandatory parent meeting Friday May 6th at 6:30pm in the High School West Building Room 204 (2nd Floor).

Due to inclement weather SPRING MEET THE TEAMS, COW CHIP PLOP, and ALUMNI GAMES have been rescheduled for Saturday, MAY 21st, 2011.

Dear Alumni,

Our Western Christian High School 2011 Softball and Baseball Programs in conjunction with our Athletic Booster Committee will be hosting our 1st Annual Alumni Softball Game and 5th Annual Alumni Baseball Game on Saturday, May 21st, 2011  and we are cordially inviting you to participate.

It is our goal to have as many of our alumni attend and fellowship with old friends and current student athletes.  With your registration you will receive an alumni t-shirt, snacks during game and lunch at the Upland Campus.  If you choose not to play in the alumni game, then come and cheer on your former and current teammates.

Boys Basketball CIF Playoff Results

Lancer Varsity Basketball won round 1 of CIF playoffs against Kern Valley High School with a final score 48 to 40. 

Round 2 playoff game was held on the Lancer’s home court on Friday, February 18th.  Lancer fans packed the stands in support of the Western Christian Varsity team as they played against Muir High School.  Lancers were in the lead for almost the entire game, but in the final minutes Muir came back to win 55 to 54.

Congratulations to the Western Christian Lancers Varsity Basketball players and coaches on an outstanding year!

Round 1 Boys  CIF Basketball play-offs, Div 5AA @ Kern Valley HS, Feb. 16th @ 6:00PM – Lancers win 48-40

Round 2 Boys CIF Basketball play-offs, Div 5AA @ Western vs. Muir HS, Feb. 18th @ 7:00PM – Lancers lose 54-55.
