Please spread the message to any and all who desire to see Christian students equipped to make a difference in the world.
One of the many exciting initiatives for Western Christian students this year was the implementation of the iPad Learning Labs. As a result of the generous contributions from the Western community, we are thrilled to offer this revolutionary academic experience. Students have never been more engaged and excited about learning.
The iPad Learning Lab and other classroom technologies are all part of Western Christian’s ongoing effort to provide a “21st Century Classroom” for our students. Studies have shown improvement in student engagement, self-esteem, motivation, technical proficiency and creativity when technology is effectively integrated into the classroom. Due to rapid change in the areas of science, entrepreneurship, the arts and all other professional fields, Western Christian seeks to showcase innovation and creativity as we prepare students for leadership in the future.
The availability of “21st Century Classroom” resources, such as interactive whiteboards and iPad Learning Labs, would not be possible without the strong financial support from the community. We are most appreciative to all who have answered the call!
Through the 21st Century Classroom Initiative we are seeking financial support to raise funds for:
- Grade level and subject specific applications for the iPad Learning Labs K-12
- Interactive whiteboards for grades K-2
- Digital document cameras for grades K-12
- iPad integrated science equipment for grades 9-12
- An iPad for each classroom grades K-8 (Which we are proud to announce has been accomplished!)
We have currently raised almost $13,000 of our all school goal of $40,000. We ask that you prayerfully consider making a year-end contribution of $20, $50, $100 or more as the Lord would lead you. Please know that no level of giving is too small. Your generosity and joy-filled giving will provide students an advantage in making a difference in the world for Christ.
May the Lord bless you and keep you. May the Lord make his face to shine upon you, and be gracious to you. May the Lord lift up his countenance upon you, and give you peace.Merry Christmas, Brandon Doolittle Advancement & Technology Director Western Christian Schools
