Keeping in Touch with Moms In Touch 5/18/09

Our prayer verse this week for our children was based on 2 Chronicles 16:9. We prayed that as the eyes of the Lord went to and fro throughout the whole earth, He would find the heart of our children loyal and faithful to Him. We prayed that God would show Himself strong to them as a result of their faithfulness and loyalty to Him.

We prayed for God’s hands in our move to Upland and continued wisdom for our administration. We also prayed that God would bring the right teachers to our school and that God would pour blessings on our teachers and their families for the work and the service they give to our kids.

Even if you are unable to join us on Monday mornings, please join us in prayer throughout the week as we lift up our children, our teachers and our administrators.

POPs Choir Concert this Thursday May 14th

The time has come for our annual POPS Show!!! Come hear the Choir, Hilltop Faith, along with a boat load of special tunes this Thursday, May 14^th at 7pm at Cornerstone Bible Church in Glendora. Tickets are $7. Tickets and directions are available from Mr. Bradley or a music student. See you there for a great evening of music and refreshments.

Senior Run Rally this Friday May 15th

This Friday, May 15th will be an ASB-sponsored all-school “Senior Rally” at noon. We will be on Chapel schedule for Friday. All classes will be wearing spirit shirt and jeans. This will be a water-themed rally so the kids may possibly get wet! Don’t worry, they’ll have all of lunch to dry off J.

ASB Seniors have a lot of games planned and they are very excited!

Student Art Show this Friday May 15th

You are invited to Western Christian High School’s Bi-Annual Art Show. Here are a few reasons to come down to the Western Christian Lancer Commons this Friday night. First, your presence will support all our talented student artists and encourage them to keep doing what they are passionate about–art. Second, you will be able to view original art– amazing creations– straight from the hands of our young artists. Third, you can possible buy some of the artwork for your home (which helps with #1, supporting the artist). Fourth, there will be food and live music for your enjoyment (who doesn’t like a cupcake while browsing?). Fifth and lastly, you will be able to experience a show unlike any other, themed: The Wonderful World of Alice in Wonderland and of Course Art Too. So this Friday, May 15^th, be sure to pop your head in at our annual spring art show from 6:30-8:30 pm. This is defiantly a show you won’t want to miss. We hope to see you there!
