Track and Field athletes Caleb Meister (Junior) and Harry Cho (Junior) competed at the CIF Prelims on Saturday. Caleb ran a 4:59, and came back later in the day to PR by 13 seconds and ran a 10:50 in the 2 mile. Harry finished 18th in the long jump competition. He ran a solid 100 meters running an 11.36. It was a great start and he was leading his heat, but got caught down the stretch and finished I believe 3rd which was good for 15th overall. He ended up being the second best finisher in our league on the day.
Varsity Baseball wrapped up a Back-to-Back League Championship last week. This is the programs third league title in four years after winning their first ever in 2006. The Lancers go into the post season with a #9 ranking and will play on Friday May 22nd at Citrus College at 3:15P.
Golfer Michael Broad shot an amazing one over par on day two of the League Golf Finals. The performance moved him to a 5th place finish in league and just out of reach of qualifying for the CIF Finals. Head Coach David Mylar said, “It was so fun to watch him play that round. He was flawless. I wanted to coach him up, but did not say a word to him so we did not break his rhythm and focus.”
