Ministry
Since its founding in 1920, Western Christian High School has upheld its mission to provide high school students with a quality education in a Christ-centered community. This exciting first semester, our high school students landed in the Upland community with a desire to reach out and minister. Western Christian High School students have ministered in the following ways:
- Christian Professionals’ Fellowship
- Pastor Appreciation Day 2010
- WCHS Fundraiser “Dare to Care for Haiti” Raises $1,000.85
- Letters of encouragement and prayers were sent out to over 400 city and community leaders from Arcadia to Fontana.
- Our ASB decorated the Upland City Hall Christmas Tree.
- Students participated in the Fred Jordan Mission Food and Toy Drive collection and distribution.
- Rotary Interact Club helped the Target Store in Upland pass out toys to the needy during Christmas, and also helped distribute toys at Cable Airport in Upland.
- The Varsity Boys Basketball team, under the direction of Mr. Jeff Wheeler, took basketballs to a needy inner-city team in LA.
- A group of drama students led by Mr. Blessinger assisted a ministry group and passed out various free goods to the needy.
- ASB sent out letters of encouragement to over 250 pastors represented by our families and the community.
