SevenStar Academy
If your son/daughter received a D or F in English, Bible, or courses otherwise not available during the basic summer school program, the SevenStar Program provides an ideal opportunity for retaking the course. Students taking advantage of this program will come to school Monday – Thursday from 8:00am-1:15pm and meet in the Computer Lab in High School East. The lab will be supervised by a proctor who will track student progress and monitor quizzes and exams. The students will also be assigned an online teacher that will provide instruction throughout the course.
SevenStar is a Christian-based, accredited, virtual classroom experience run by Christian teachers and staff. The curriculum has been developed with a Christian worldview, and we are confident that this venue provides the very best alternative available to Western’s own faculty. The online format requires a higher level of motivation and personal accountability on the part of the student, which is why Western will be implementing the in class format with proctor supervision. We believe this set up will provide the highest quality experience short of a traditional classroom option.
The cost for SevenStar online courses will be $390 per session, with an additional $50 lab fee per session. Textbooks will be required for these courses and that information should be available in one to two weeks.
