| World History is a required state of California course that includes the study of Ancient Civilizations, Classical Civilizations, Medieval Times, Early Modern History and Revolutions, and on through World Wars I and II. Required for graduation. | ||

| United States History is a general history course that includes the study of Pre-colonial, Revolutionary, New Republic, Civil War, Industrial Revolution, World War I, the 1920s, the Great Depression, World War II, the Cold War, the Korean War, and Vietnam. Required for graduation. | ||

| US History AP | (CSU/UC) | |
| United States History AP is designed to take the student beyond the high school level and act as preparation for intermediate college level course work. The course uses a college text, and is constructed according to the Advanced Placement guidelines in order to prepare the students to successfully take and pass the AP U.S. History test. | ||
| Prerequisites: 1.) “A” in World History with teacher recommendation, 2.)summer work is required, 3.)students and parents must sign a contract and attend a parent meeting. | ||
| Government | (CSU/UC) | |
| Government is a required state of California course that surveys the American governmental system. Students will study the foundations of the American governmental system, the Constitution, the Legislative, Executive and Judicial Branches, political parties, and civil rights and liberties. This class will help students comprehend and analyze the significance of current political events. The course will equip students in becoming informed citizens, and will stress the importance of citizen participation in our American governmental system. Required for graduation. | ||

| Government Advanced Placement (AP) | (CSU/UC) | |
| Government AP is a two semester class designed to take the student beyond the regular government class level in preparation for intermediate college level course work. Students will examine the same topics as the regular government class at an accelerated pace and with greater in-depth study. The course uses a college text, and is constructed according to the Advanced Placement guidelines. All students enrolled are encouraged to take the AP examination, given in May. College credit may be granted for competency on this examination. | ||

| Economics | (CSU/UC) | |
| Economics is a required state of California course that looks at the study of the choices and decisions people make about how to use the world’s resources. Students will study the macroeconomic aspects of supply and demand, world economic systems, the American free enterprise system, prices, market structures, business organizations, the stock market, GDP, taxes, banking, and fiscal and monetary policy. By better understanding these key economic principles students will be able to make wiser decisions in the economic world. Along with regular homework and testing, students will complete project work regarding the impact of supply and demand on the prices of roses for Valentine’s Day, a record and analysis of personal spending habits, research and investment in the stock market, research and creation of a fictional proprietorship, and an investigative study regarding the necessary procedures and finances needed to live on their own. Required for graduation. | ||

| Economics Honors is a one semester class designed to take the student beyond the regular economics class level in preparation for intermediate college level course work. Students will examine the same topics and complete the same projects as the regular economics class at an accelerated pace and with greater in-depth study | ||

| Psychology | (CSU/UC) | |
| Psychology is an elective class designed to help students gain insight into, and appreciation for, the wonder of important phenomena in their lives. Students will study individual human behavior, personality, self-esteem, emotions, child development, marriage, and family through a Christian perspective. | ||
