California’s Oldest Christian High School
Since its founding in 1920, Western Christian High School continues to uphold its mission to provide high school students with a quality education in a Christcentered community. Recognized as a leader in Christian education, Western is a non-denominational, non-sectarian, private high school with non-profit status. Western Christian High School currently serves 409 students from the ethnically diverse regions of Los Angeles and San Bernardino Counties.
Throughout the school’s 90+ year history of academic excellence, Western Christian High School has provided a challenging educational program producing young men and women with the skills and moral integrity to be leaders in their countries, homes, workplace, community, and in the world. Along with college prep and advanced courses, WCHS also offers home school and Private Satellite programs.
Western Christian High School Has a 100% Graduation Rate
Annually, over 95% of Western’s graduates are accepted to colleges and universities. WCHS is one of less than 6% of schools in California that holds a dual accreditation, certified by both Western Association of Schools and Colleges and the Association of Christian
Schools International.
Western Christian began accepting international students ten years ago. Our host families partner with overseas parents to provide a safe environment making it possible for the students to excel academically.
Our International program features 4 levels of ESL and currently educates 107 students from many different countries. The International School at Western Christian Schools has a reputation for providing a quality education and boasts a 100% graduation rate. Over 96% of our international graduates go on to the university of their choosing.

School Objectives:
Scholarship
To provide an educational structure and atmosphere that fosters academic training, stimulates academic curiosity and critical thinking, and develops a love and appreciation for knowledge.

Integrity
To impart a respect for order in God’s universe and the necessity for discipline in all areas of life.
Holiness
To lead students to a personal acceptance of Jesus Christ as Savior and a life of obedience to Him as Lord.
Discipleship & Serving
To help young Christian men and women grasp the importance of serving in their relationship with God and their community; training them to impact the world in a positive manner for Jesus Christ.
Students attend weekly chapel services where they are challenged and encouraged by inspirational speakers from the local church community. The students of Western Christian High School have traveled to New York, Mexico, Europe, and Asia with various campus groups building responsibility, developing character, and reinforcing a strong work ethic.
Dual Accreditation
Western Christian High School is fully accredited (six year term) by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC
) and the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI). WASC is responsible for the accreditation of public and private universities, colleges, and schools in the western United States, and ACSI is responsible for the accreditation of evangelical Christian schools in America and abroad. This dual accreditation by WASC and ACSI ensures that Western Christian High School’s comprehensive program of study meets the rigorous standards of both the academic community and the community of faith.
