Meet The New AD
Athletic Director Nick Karavedas
We are excited to welcome Nick Karavedas to the Western Christian family as our new High School Athletic Director. Nick brings over 16 years of teaching, coaching, and athletic administration experience to Western.
He began his teaching and coaching career at Calvary Chapel Christian School in Downey, serving there for nine years before moving to Twin Falls, Idaho. In Idaho, Nick was given the opportunity to serve as Athletic Director for a new Christian high school and asked to start that athletic program. In six years, that athletic program grew to over 20 athletic teams and included a new, state-of-the-art athletic complex.
Although Nick’s experience will benefit Lancer Athletics tremendously, his spiritual maturity will be an even greater asset. Nick understands that athletics can be a tremendous vehicle for spiritual growth and life lessons for the maturing student athlete.
Nick received his B.A. in Organizational Management & Spiritual Leadership from Colorado Christian University. He has been married for 28 years to his wife Joy, and has two grown children, Peter (married to Erin) and Ashley. Nick and his wife attend church at Rockharbor in Costa Mesa.
